SELF+TAPE proves to be a hit on the festival circuit - Already nabbing a trio of selections including a win at Brighton Rocks International Film Festival.

James Cleave's latest short film, SELF+TAPE, has made an impressive start to its festival run, earning Official Selections at the Unrestricted View Film Festival, Brighton Rocks International Film Festival, and Kino London Short Film Festival; all BIFA-qualifying festivals. The comedy-drama, which follows three actresses navigating the increasingly demanding world of self-taped auditions, has also taken home the Best Comedy award at Brighton Rocks International Film Festival! Audiences are responding warmly to its sharp humour and recognisable take on modern casting.

It's been wonderful to see SELF+TAPE being picked up by three BIFA-qualifying festivals to date. This film wouldn't have been possible without our fantastic cast and crew, so our recent award for Best Comedy belongs to everyone involved. The response at festival Q&As has been especially rewarding, with actors in the audience often sharing how much the film resonated with their own experiences (and frustrations) of self-taping. As we're still early in our festival run, we're hopeful the film will continue to find new audiences around the world.

Having previously caught up with James to discuss the making of SELF+TAPE, it's fantastic to see the film already finding its audience on the festival circuit. Congratulations to James and everyone involved on a well-deserved start to the film's journey, we're excited to see where it heads next!
