Stone Dogs recently delivered colour and VFX for a new trio of Telstra stop-motion films created by the supremely talented folk at Passion.

Directed by Catherine Prowse (Passion Animation), the campaign follows charming, meticulously crafted stop-motion characters moving through rotating miniature environments; from farmland to mountain landscapes, before transitioning into space and back. The rotating set design becomes a visual metaphor for seamless connection, as each story highlights Telstra’s Satellite Messaging feature, which allows customers to send texts even when outside mobile coverage by linking through satellite technology.

Stone Dogs supported the craft-driven production with finishing work that really helped unify the tactile stop-motion worlds and enhance the visual storytelling across all three films. The result is a series of quietly playful, highly detailed spots that balance technical precision with warmth and simplicity, reinforcing the ease and reliability of staying connected off-grid with Telstra.
